Torres
New-generation mid-size SUV. 1.5T petrol, plus an electric Torres EVX (433 km range). Modern cabin with two 12.3-inch screens.

KG Mobility (KGM) is the renamed SsangYong brand, following the 2022 rebrand and investment from the KG Group. It's a specialist in Korean off-roaders and SUVs: the body-on-frame Rexton, the tech-focused Torres pitched as a "city SUV for long trips", and the compact Tivoli. Korean KGMs are a sensible alternative to the Japanese brands and Hyundai-Kia in the mid segment, especially for buyers after all-wheel drive and a large boot.

A line-by-line estimate: auction price, sea logistics, customs duty, excise, VAT, customs fee and recycling fee. From January 1, 2026 the recycling-fee discount is preserved only for individuals importing cars up to 160 hp — engine power and importer status are critical to the final number.

KGM is built only in Korea — no local assembly — so the Korean market is the "primary" one for quality, equipment and trim.
The KG Mobility dealer network in Korea has been refreshed since the rebrand; 2023–2024 cars have recent warranty histories and official-dealer servicing.
Prices within Korea are among the most attractive in the full-size SUV segment: the body-on-frame Rexton costs less than a Hyundai Santa Fe crossover.
The electric Torres EVX is a direct alternative to pricier EVs, with a serious range and built on the CTP platform.
KGM parts in Russia and Kazakhstan are available through independent specialists and many former SsangYong dealers — the infrastructure is still in place.
In 2022 SsangYong went through a restructuring and was acquired by the KG Group. Since 2023 the brand has officially been called KG Mobility (KGM for short). Technically it's the same factory, the same platforms and engineering school, but with new investment and a refreshed line-up.
A 2023 Torres in mid-spec comes out turnkey to Moscow from $32,000–$38,000 including the auction price, sea freight and customs. The Torres EVX (electric) — from $42,000 with reduced customs duty.
An official KG Mobility dealer network in Russia and Kazakhstan is still being built. For now servicing is available at former SsangYong dealers and independent specialists in Korean SUVs. A number of regions already have outlets with official KGM certification.
The Rexton is 1.5–2 times cheaper at a comparable size and payload. It trails the Toyota on suspension durability in heavy off-road use and on resale value. It wins on cabin comfort, equipment and price.
A Tivoli is worth bringing if you specifically want a 2023–2024 Korean-built car in a rich trim with minimal mileage. If a 2018–2020 car from the local market suits you, the saving is often negligible.
The Torres T7 / T7 4WD, the Rexton The Master 4WD with the 2.2 diesel, and the Tivoli Sapphire 1.5T. These are the most sought-after configurations for value and equipment.
